Many of you that knew Marty, would have heard about his late diagnosis with bowel cancer and the battle he had with getting GP's to take his symptoms seriously. But above all of this, you will have known what a fun loving and courageous individual he was and his sheer determination and fighting spirit to not let his illness bring him down. 

This blog is to carry on Marty's fighting spirit and help raise awareness of bowel cancer to others. It is also a place for you to share any of the things you have done or are doing to keep his memory alive.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK but it shouldn’t be. Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early.

Marty always wanted to help others and you can help keep his memory alive by continuing his wish to make a difference to others by telling all your friends and family the symptoms of Bowel Cancer.
